Drinking-water ban lifted in Demir Kapija
The municipal utility Bošava says testing shows the water from the town supply is now safe to drink.

The municipal water supply in Demir Kapija has been declared safe to drink after the latest laboratory tests, the local public utility company Bošava announced.
"Following the received results, the ban on drinking the water, imposed by the competent inspector at the Food and Veterinary Agency, has been lifted. Accordingly, citizens can again freely use the water for drinking," the utility said.
Testing and the earlier restriction
The ban had been put in place on 14 August, when the utility informed residents that water from the town supply was prohibited for drinking and food preparation. Officials said the restriction followed concerns that required laboratory verification.
The day after the ban was announced, the company appealed to the public not to spread panic and warned against using the matter for political point-scoring.
With the inspector lifting the prohibition, Bošava confirmed that residents may resume normal use of tap water immediately. Local officials said they will continue routine monitoring to ensure water quality remains within health standards.
