Showers and possible storms tomorrow; cooler through the end of the workweek
UHMR: brief storms with heavy rain and gusty north winds up to and above 50 km/h; cooler and changeable weather through the workweek, rain returns Friday afternoon.
Tomorrow the weather will be changeable with warm temperatures and occasional local showers that will continue into the night toward Tuesday. In some places these processes may turn into brief storms accompanied by heavy downpours, strong gusts of wind and thunder.
Wind and shorter-term developments
The Hydrometeorological Service (UHMR) warns that a strong north wind will blow until Wednesday and at times it will exceed speeds of 50 km/h.
Through the remainder of the working week the UHMR expects generally more changeable and somewhat cooler conditions with sunny intervals. From the afternoon hours on Friday, rain is expected to return in many areas.
Residents in exposed or low-lying locations should be prepared for locally intense downpours and gusty wind, which can reduce visibility and cause short-lived flooding in urban drainage systems.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution on wet roads and to secure loose objects outdoors. Authorities will monitor developments and issue further updates if conditions deteriorate.
