Facebook video shows firearms fired at wedding — Ministry working to identify participants
Ministry of Internal Affairs says it is investigating a Facebook video that shows people firing shots at a wedding; the clip was posted then deleted by a lawyer.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched steps to identify the people seen firing a firearm in a video that circulated on social media showing participants at a wedding discharging shots.
The clip was originally posted on Facebook by lawyer Umejr Muhamedi, who later removed it from his profile. Muhamedi explained that he deleted the recording "out of correctness toward the owner of the vehicle who was completely a third party and had lent the vehicle for use, as well as toward the guests at the wedding."
Police say no formal complaint, investigation continues
The Regional Police Directorate – Tetovo said that no formal report about unauthorized shooting at a family celebration has been filed, but officers are acting on information received and are working to clarify the incident.
Muhamedi also wrote that "we must learn that shooting at weddings is a primitive act," a comment he posted alongside the video before deleting it.
Authorities say it is not yet known when the footage was recorded. The Ministry of Internal Affairs said it is continuing investigative steps to identify the people shown and urged anyone with information or additional material to come forward and cooperate with the police.
