VMRO‑DPMNE urges Public Prosecutor to act on Venko Filipche’s €37 million accusation against Slavjanka Petrovska

VMRO‑DPMNE has urged the Public Prosecutor's Office to investigate allegations made by Venko Filipche that link former health minister Slavjanka Petrovska to a €37 million irregularity in a helicopter procurement deal.

Party demands immediate probe and for prosecutors to interview Filipche

At a press conference held yesterday, Venko Filipche — described by party statements as a member of parliament and leader of SDSM — accused Petrovska of signing a contract that resulted in a substantially higher price. Filipche said, "Slavjanka Petrovska signed a contract for a €37 million overpriced procurement of helicopters, after the commission made a different decision."

VMRO‑DPMNE said the allegation cannot be ignored and called on the Public Prosecutor's Office to act on the message raised by Filipche. The party said it will support and encourage him to present all available information and to refrain from silence.

In its public statement, VMRO‑DPMNE requested that prosecutors open a case without delay and to summon Filipche for questioning so that the accusations can be formally examined. The party framed the appeal as a demand for urgent and appropriate legal reaction.

Neither the Public Prosecutor's Office nor representatives of SDSM or Slavjanka Petrovska have been quoted in the party release. The party's call focuses on rapid procedural steps: a formal investigation and testimony from the accuser.
