Komunalec employee in Sveti Nikole charged over 82,180 denars
Police in Sveti Nikole say a 62-year-old Komunalec employee is suspected of misappropriating funds collected for funeral services.

The External Office of the Criminal Police in Sveti Nikole filed a criminal complaint on September 7, 2026 against a 62-year-old man identified by initials B.D., accusing him of the criminal offense of embezzlement.
B.D. was employed by the public utility Public Enterprise Komunalec Sveti Nikole as a water maintenance worker and, by an oral order, was also assigned duties as a collector at the City Market.
Allegations and period
According to the police, between December 2022 and December 2025 he was responsible for collecting fees for water and funeral services. Investigators allege that he unlawfully appropriated money paid by citizens for funeral services, in a total amount of 82,180 denars.
The complaint names the employee and details the period and types of accounts he handled; police have forwarded the case to continue criminal proceedings and investigation.
