Zelensky: Ukrainian negotiators to meet representatives of Donald Trump in the US
Zelensky announced a two-day meeting in the United States; the Ukrainian delegation includes senior officials and Kyiv expects European participation.

Ukrainian negotiators will meet with representatives of former U.S. president Donald Trump in the United States today and tomorrow, President Volodymyr Zelensky said late on social media, as Kyiv seeks pathways to end the war in Ukraine.
"The Ukrainian delegation is to meet in the US with Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff. The meeting is expected to last two days," Zelensky wrote, and he added: "I count on the participation of the European team."
Delegation and U.S. interlocutors
The Ukrainian team is expected to include Kyrylo Budanov, chief of Zelensky's office; former defence minister Rustem Umerov; and two senior officials, Serhii Kyslytsia and David Arakhamia. The meetings are being presented as part of a broader push to explore diplomatic options.
Separately, U.S. politician Marco Rubio warned of the risks posed by the current pause in fighting. He called the situation "very dangerous," saying that "one or both sides will intensify what they are doing to try to break the opponent and to end the stalemate," underscoring concerns that a lull could lead to renewed escalations.
Officials have not released a detailed public agenda for the talks. Observers note that contacts involving private-sector or informal envoys have increased as multiple international actors seek ways to reduce violence and revive negotiations.
