Andrej Žernovski: Threats of violence must not be politicized
SDSM executive board member says threats that invoked his killing are not political criticism and must be investigated.

SDSM executive board member Andrej Žernovski on Facebook reacted to recent statements and messages that included threats of violence, saying he and his political colleagues have for years faced insults, threats and calls for violence.
Žernovski calls for equal institutional response
Žernovski demanded that state institutions respond to every such threat, regardless of who is targeted. In a post he said the messages went as far as invoking his killing in front of his family.
He argued these communications are not political criticism or a difference of opinion, but a direct call to violence that must become the subject of institutional procedure.
Žernovski also questioned why authorities, in his view, had not shown the same level of concern when earlier threats were directed at political opponents.
He asked that an investigation be opened into his case and into all similar cases, stressing that institutions must apply the law equally to everyone.
