Zvezde Granda changes voting system; Ceca withdraws her vote for Tamara Volcheska

The new season of Zvezde Granda arrived with a redesigned voting system that changes how contestants reach mentors and which performances continue. Hosts Voja Nedeljković and Grand Production director Goran Šljivic presented the rules that will decide contestants' fates on stage.

How the new voting works

Under the revised system, contestants who receive seven or eight votes qualify directly to the second round and may choose the mentor they want to work with. The eighth vote is assigned at the production's discretion. Those who earn five or six votes also advance but lose the right to pick their mentor; the production selects a mentor for them.

Contestants who collect between one and four votes receive a second chance through a barrage round. Participants with zero votes, or those for whom the panic button is activated, are eliminated immediately from the competition.

The jury's role was also updated: members can cast a vote, abstain, or withdraw an already cast vote if they do not wish to cooperate with a particular contestant. The judging panel in the new season includes Sanja Vučić, who replaced Ana Bekuta and brought a fresh energy to the show.

In the first episode, Tamara Volcheska from Gostivar impressed the panel with a powerful performance and praise from the judges. Although she won six votes, she could not choose her own mentor. Ceca withdrew her vote so she would not be involved with the contestant, leaving the decision to colleagues specialized in that genre.

Ultimately, Goran Šljivic made the final decision and assigned Aleksandar Milić – Mili as Tamara's mentor for the next round.
