A 28-year-old Macedonian tourist who fell from a water slide in Kusadasi has been operated on and is in stable condition, authorities say.
Medical teams confirmed the man suffered a fracture of the fifth cervical vertebra and underwent surgery in Turkey.
Organised medical evacuation
At the request of his parents, and with approval from the Health Insurance Fund and the Ministry of Health, a government plane with doctors from the Clinical Center will fly to Turkey today to assist with his transfer.
The patient is expected to be transported to North Macedonia tomorrow, where he will be admitted to a clinic and continue his treatment.
The case remains under medical supervision as preparations are finalised for the international transfer.
