Eight-day detention for two Goce Delcev University employees in Shtip
Authorities allege two university employees altered e-index records, reported exams after deadlines and gained about €21,000 over 2021–2026.

Two employees of Goce Delcev University in Shtip have been placed in eight-day detention as authorities investigate alleged manipulation of the university electronic student register. The Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Shtip and the police say the suspects face charges of computer fraud and abuse of official position.
The investigation names 44-year-old R.T., who worked as head of the e-index, and a 44-year-old advisor in the student archive, identified as M.M.N. Prosecutors allege that, over a multi-year period, R.T. entered and altered exam records for students from Turkey: he reported exams after the official deadline, registered exams after the system for exam registration had been closed, deleted grades and credits in e-index files so students could enroll in a new semester or academic year, and recorded that tuition had been paid when it had not.
Searches and evidence
Police executed searches at the home of R.T. and seized three laptop computers, four mobile phones, USB sticks, documentation and cash. A court order was also used to search the university's e-index and data systems, where electronic records showing changes in the system were located and seized.
Investigators say they found entries in the system linked to changes made by M.M.N.; her home was searched under a separate court order and she was taken into custody, the police said.
Prosecutors state the alleged scheme ran from 2021 to 2026 and that the two employees obtained material benefit estimated at €21,000.
The Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Shtip has asked a preliminary-procedure judge to order detention for both suspects while the investigation continues.
