Breast cancer patients again without the drug Fezgo

Breast cancer patients in North Macedonia again report they have been left without the drug "Fezgo". Several patients posted on social media that the therapy is missing from hospital supplies.

Minister of Health Arben Taravari said he was not aware of the problem. His office has not issued further details about whether central procurement or distribution channels were notified.

The Oncology Clinic told patients and the public that the interruption was caused by issues with suppliers. Clinic representatives said they expect the therapy to arrive tomorrow.

Reaction and short-term outlook

Patients expressed frustration online, saying repeated supply gaps disrupt their treatment schedules. Clinic officials urged calm and asked patients to wait for the pending delivery.

The situation raises renewed concerns about continuity of cancer care for those on prescribed regimens. Hospital staff said they will inform patients as soon as the shipment is received.
