SDSM asks prosecutors to open probe into Prime Minister Mickoski and Minister Mucunski's contacts with Richard Grenell

SDSM has formally asked the public prosecutor to open an investigation into contacts and any possible agreements involving Prime Minister Mickoski and Minister Mucunski with Richard Grenell, a close associate of US President Trump.

The party's request seeks to determine whether there were private arrangements or understandings between the two senior Macedonian politicians and Grenell, whose name has been linked to questions about his conduct in the United States.

Allegations connected to Grenell

According to published reports, Grenell is the subject of an investigation launched on the orders of Trump due to suspicions that "he abused trust and embezzled money from donations for the Kennedy Center, which he previously led."

SDSM says the prosecutor should examine both the existence of contacts and whether any formal or informal deals were made that touch on public interest or state policy.

The party urged authorities to act quickly and provide clarification to the public about the nature of the ties between Grenell and Macedonian officials.
