Skopje to install 13‑metre Christmas tree and light figures; city issues tender
The city seeks a contractor to install a 13‑metre tree and multiple illuminated installations by 15 December at about €70,000

The City of Skopje has published a tender for this year's holiday decorations, announcing a 13-metre Christmas tree and a collection of illuminated figures to be installed in the city centre.
The contract foresees that the decorations must be installed and ready by 15 December and the estimated cost is around €70,000. The public call asks companies to submit bids to carry out the installation.
List of required installations
The tender specifies a decorative light motif in the shape of a deer about four metres high, featuring a candy-cane element on its antlers and a combination of warm white and cool white LED lighting with dynamic light effects.
Also planned are a gift-shaped light figure more than six metres high, two 2D portals, and a 3D sleigh with presents approximately two metres high and four metres wide, designed so people can enter the sleigh and take photographs.
Further items include two 3D balloons each 3.5 metres high, a figure of Santa Claus, roughly one hundred LED-lit bouquets, and a glittering green holiday wreath placed for public photos. The tender also requests lights on candelabra and illuminated icicles.
Unlike last year's tender, which listed exact installation locations, the current public call does not name specific sites; it states that locations will be determined in the work order issued to the winning company. Last year Skopje's decorations were installed by Link Media Plus and the contract value was the same as this year.
