Traffic on state roads flowing smoothly; no long delays at border crossings

Traffic on state roads is flowing without interruptions and pavements are dry, the Auto-Moto Association of Macedonia (AMSM) said in its morning report.

AMSM noted that traffic intensity has risen on routes outside urban areas. At border crossings on the Macedonian side there are no long delays for entry to or exit from the country.

Advice for drivers

The association urged motorists to drive at a speed adapted to the conditions, to respect traffic signs and to operate vehicles with increased caution—especially on roads that pass through basins, river valleys and gorges where rockfalls may occur.

AMSM singled out the following stretches as requiring particular care: Katlanovo–Veles, Mavrovo–Debar–Struga, Vinica–Berovo and Kochani–Delchevo.

Drivers planning trips are advised to check conditions before departure and to allow extra time when travelling outside city centres, when traffic volumes are higher.
