Stop za Usje: 69 days without reply from the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning

The civic initiative Stop za Usje says it has received no reply from the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning for 69 days after filing requests for public information linked to pollution and the procedure to renew the A‑integrated permit for TITAN Usje.
According to the initiative, their requests included opinions from the institutions involved in the permitting process, the complete minutes of the public hearing held on July 3, information on the publication of the new draft permit, as well as data from heavy‑metal measurements and the environmental reports submitted by TITAN Usje.
The group also says it sent several formal reminders but has not obtained any response from the ministry. In a public statement the initiative said, "Stop za Usje calls on the competent institutions to provide the requested information and to ensure transparency in the procedure."
What the initiative intends to do next
Stop za Usje urged the responsible bodies to deliver the requested documents and to make the renewal procedure fully transparent so the public can assess environmental risks linked to the plant's operations.
The initiative announced that it will use all available legal mechanisms to defend the public's right of access to information of public character if the ministry continues to remain silent.
The ministry has not published a reply to the claims as of the initiative's statement; the requests relate directly to the ongoing administrative procedure for the A‑integrated permit of TITAN Usje.
