UHMR: Cloudy skies and intermittent rain, local downpours possible
Local showers may exceed 25 l/m²; northerly wind with occasional strengthening along the Vardar valley; drier from tomorrow.
The Hydrometeorological Service (UHMR) forecasts cloudy skies with intermittent rain for today across North Macedonia.
Precipitation will be heavier in places, locally exceeding 25 litres per square metre. A weak to moderate northerly wind is expected during the day; along the Vardar valley the wind will occasionally strengthen.
Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 3 and 10 °C, while daytime highs will reach between 6 and 14 °C. In Skopje conditions will be cloudy with occasional light rain, with temperatures from 8 °C in the morning up to 12 °C in the afternoon and a light to moderate northerly breeze.
Short-term outlook
UHMR predicts that from tomorrow the weather will turn more stable and dry with variable cloudiness. From Friday cloud cover will gradually decrease, and during the weekend mornings will become colder with temperatures in some places dropping below zero.
