Serbia has begun distributing a one‑off cash payment of 6,000 dinars, with disbursements running through 25 September. The measure was made available to applicants via the Finance Administration portal.
Who applied and how many checked their status
According to Serbia's finance minister in a caretaker mandate, Siniša Mali, 1,696,000 citizens applied for the one‑off payment, while nearly three million users checked their status in the Shareholders' Fund. Earlier reports had estimated that around 1.7 million people had applied through the Finance Administration portal.
The one‑off payment forms part of a broader support package for households valued at €980.6 million. The package also includes previously disbursed one‑off benefits, subsidised medicines and vouchers for pensioners.
Payments are being processed by the Finance Administration and scheduled to continue until the cut‑off date of 25 September. Citizens who submitted applications can verify disbursement status through the same online portal.
Authorities say the measure aims to ease financial pressure on households, while the broader package is intended to address healthcare and pensioner needs alongside direct cash assistance.
