Trebinje arrests after more than 5 kg of drugs hidden in car bumper

Police in Republika Srpska arrested two people in Trebinje during an operation named "Horizon" after finding more than five kilograms of various narcotics hidden in a car bumper.

The arrested are S.S. and D.S., both from Trebinje. The raid was carried out by officers from the Administration for Organized and Serious Crime at the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska, the Trebinje Police Department and the Gendarmerie.

Seized drugs and evidence

Authorities seized 3,383.14 grams of marijuana, 1,971.1 grams of amphetamine and 79.38 grams of cocaine, as well as several marijuana seeds. In addition to the drugs, police confiscated multiple mobile phones, SIM cards and SIM card holders, a frequency signal detector, and a pistol of the brand "Crvena Zastava" with the corresponding magazine and six bullets.

Police also took a digital precision scale and a notebook containing records of drug buyers; these items may be used as evidence in criminal proceedings.

Both suspects are charged with having reasonable grounds to suspect they committed the criminal offence of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs under Article 207, paragraph 3, in connection with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska. After completion of the forensic investigation, the arrested persons and the report will be turned over to the competent prosecutor from the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Trebinje, which is supervising the operation.

The Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska announced that operational activities are continuing.
